- Do you need a cost-effective system that can keep pace with your growth and provide flexibility to adapt to various workloads? The HP Apollo 2000 System offers a dense solution with up to four HP ProLiant XL170r Gen9 or up to two HP ProLiant XL190r Gen9 server nodes in a standard 2U chassis. Each server node can be serviced individually without impacting the operation of other nodes sharing the same chassis to provide increased server uptime.
The HP Apollo 2000 provides all the features of traditional enterprise servers while being efficient, dense and flexible. The HP Apollo 2000 provides 2x density as compared to standard 1U rack servers, to increase available datacenter floor space, improve performance while lowering energy consumption and providing flexible configurations that fit into industry standard racks.
The Apollo 2000 is also compatible with the HP Advanced Power Manager that provides real-time power measurements and control and enables rack-level dynamic power capping.
What's new
-
- Redundant fans and power infrastructure with up to two 1400W power supplies
-
- Increased storage flexibility with options that support SAS/SATA/SSDs
Features
Density Optimized for Traditional Datacenters
-
Up to four independent, hot-pluggable server nodes in one chassis, delivering twice the compute density as 1U rack-mount servers.
-
Front hot-pluggable drives and rear serviceable nodes.
-
Cost effective configurations for various workloads.
Flexible Configuration for a Variety of Workloads
-
Mix and match 1U and 2U servers for workload optimization. Partially populate the chassis and scale out as you grow.
-
HPC performance with accelerators, top bin processors and broad range of I/O options.
Storage Flexibility for Workload Optimization
-
12 LFF or 24 SFF drive cage options.
-
Includes an option for SAS Expander to enable flexible allocation of drives per server node.
Simple at Scale – it’s HP ProLiant Gen9
-
HP Advanced Power Manager (HP APM) enables aggregate and detailed level of power measurement and control of servers/groups of servers.
-
Provides static and dynamic capping of power across the nodes.

Tray blanks
- A chassis requires that four (4) server tray slots be populated with either an HP ProLiant XL170r, XL190r server or an HP Apollo 2000 Server Tray Blank Kit.
Chassis fan
- Four (4) single rotor fan assemblies as standard and eight (8) single rotor fan assemblies for redundancy and improved power consumption and acoustics.
Power supply
- Each Apollo 2000 System can support two (2) 800W or 1400W power supplies.
