The HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 Server offers market-leading storage capacity among 2U storage servers, supporting up to 28 Large Form Factor (LFF) hot-plug drives or 54 Small Form Factor (SFF) hot-plug drives.

Object storage customers looking for a low cost-per-Gigabyte solution, the LFF model fits up to 224 TB of storage using 8 TB drives. This means that a 42U rack of Apollo 4200 Gen9 Servers can fit over 4.4 PB! (For higher storage capacities consider the Apollo 4510 Chassis.

With high performance Hadoop® based workloads, the Apollo 4200 Gen9 Server can support up to 54 SAS or solid state disks (SSD) SFF drives with 12 Gb/s throughput and 15K revolutions per minute.

No special racks required, it is designed to accommodate hundreds of terabytes per server, but fits right into most pre-existing racks.

The HPE Apollo 4200 Gen9 Server is a perfect match for parallel processing applications like Hadoop, with up to two Intel® Xeon® E5-2600v3 or E5-2600v4 processors per server that can reach up to 44 cores.
